As promised, HTC launched a new phone today, called HTC Touch. This is the first phone from HTC not aimed for the business market. It also has a user interface quite similar to what we will find on iPhone.
Touchscreen
You are using your fingers instead of the usual pen to press the screen. The interface let you drag and drop objects when you are moving and opening programs. HTC has also developed a standby menu which replaces the one usually found on Windows Mobile. From this menu you have quick access to everything from contact list to Live Messenger with just a click on the screen.
Inside HTC Touch the regular Windows Mobile applications like Outlook Mobile, Office Mobile Internet Explorer and Live Messenger are installed. The phone is not a very large one, with its 14 mm thickness. However this is still thicker than iPhone.
You can see a demonstration of the phone at HTC.
The camera takes picture with 2 megapixels resolution. |
