Review: Nokia N93

When Nokia released its N90, it was obvious that they intended to use the same design on several upcomming models. The design strenght is the ability to carry more advanced camera modules. Nokia N93 will not fit to the mass market. The device weigh 188 grams and will not slip into any pocket with the bulky size of 118х55.5х28 mm. This is the biggest drawback of the Nokia N93. The design is square and the device does not fit very well in your hand. Because of the size, Nokia has fitted large keys wich has a good layout with enough space between each button. Building quality is fine – all details are well-adjusted and have no gaps between each other. Wiht only a single point fastening, one could have expected this to be unreliable, nevertheless it isn’t so. Even if you shake the phone with all your strength, there is no way the halves will move towards each other.

A 2.4 inch screen with resolution 240x320 pixels should impress. But the screen in N93 does not. Perhaps because of the size of the phone itselves. Facts are that the screen is one of the best in regular mobile phones today. TFT quality make sure that images are displayed in a way you normally find on more expensive computer monitors. N93 is equipped with a light sensor wich automatically adust the screen brightness in light suroundings.
